The Visconti Medici collection pays homage to the Medici dynasty, lords of Florence who were influential patrons of the Renaissance period, creating luxury pens that embody the spirit of elegance and artisan excellence represented by the Medici family.
The lily in the hood, present in the city coat of arms, represents beauty, nobility and and pride.
The pen is inspired by the octagonal profile of the Baptistery of Florence, the shape of the pen is was designed according to the principles of the golden proportion.
The new band is just an example of the improvements made to this historic collection, which is part of the Visconti heritage. The loading system is a large double tank Power Filler and the clip is in the new enamelled version.
The pen is made of Acrosilk, an innovative material introduced for the first time by Visconti, which consists of a compound of acrylic resin and silk fibres. For a more elegant look contemporary, this special acrylic blend is been sandblasted to obtain a delicate satin finish.
