The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by the famous adventure novel by Jules Verne. The Doué Classique Fountain Pen in translucent blue lacquer with a dégradé finish represents the first part of the journey. The protagonists travel on a steamship from London to Bombay, crossing the Mediterranean Sea and the Suez Canal. The cap features iconic elements from the novel: sea waves, card suits and a cartridge with a laser etched steamship design. The top of the hood features embossing of the travel duration, 18 days from London to Bombay and 80 days in total. The writing instrument is completed by a handcrafted nib in 18 K gold with a rhodium finish, decorated with a hot air balloon and with the start and end dates of the adventurous journey.
