The Pen of the Year 2019 was inspired by their era, which lasts several centuries, the aesthetics of their weapons and their mentality. The black lacquered metal frame of the Black Edition, with its 24 carat gold plating, evokes the elaborate armor decorated with single plates. The trunk in dark magnolia wood recalls the long swords of the samurai (katana). The sheath and the handle were made of untreated magnolia wood.
